A veteran of the road, with
twelve blues music industry nominations,
three for Song of the Year,
Kight continues to help shape contemporary blues.

Though she’s considered a blues artist,
she’s also long been known as a singer/songwriter,
and performs all across the country
as a solo, duo, trio, and with her band.
The music she writes and performs live has been called
“country-flavored, southern-fried blues.

With equal parts americana, roots, blues, and country,
she has performed her own blend of music
at venues as varied as
clubs, theaters, house concerts,
yacht clubs, fundraisers, and festivals,
to the Biltmore Estate Winery,
to “A Prairie Home Companion.”

She continues to write songs that blur the lines,
and cross genres,
a soulful blend that’s a cross between
Delbert McClinton, Wynonna, and Travis Tritt,
and ballads that would be a fit for
Carrie Underwood, Bette Midler, or Tony Bennett.
